Look what happens when the grass isn't cut on our grassy pitch...wow! A proper meadow has appeared. There was a fox lying in the sun when I was in and the whole place seemed so peaceful and untouched.

As a home learning task the children were asked to write an acrostic nature poem.

Here is Declan W's- the first to be submitted.

Damsel flies on the water
Enough there to feed the otter
Can't get enough of these glorious sights
Lazy evenings during the light nights
All the birds sing to tell us it's dawn
Now I get up with a stretch and a yawn
