Bee in the Park!

Primary 1,1/2 and P2 have been learning about bees and the important role they play in making our planet healthy. They decided to make our school grounds an amazing space for pollinators by desiging and making insect friendly gardens. The children got a budget and they went to B and Q to speak to one of their garden centre colleagues and to choose some plants for their gardens. They also carried out a big survey and also learned about how to grow a seed and they sowed wildflower seeds in their gardens. Here is a photo of their garden-it is something rather special I am sure you will agree!

Pocket Garden "The Sirens"

Here is a sneak preview of our winning entry for the pocket garden competition...we made it through to the public vite-one of 45 ssuccessful entriues from 345. A HUGE congratulation to the pupils of P6/7B who entered 4 entries and one diseign, The Sirens, was selected to be made into a real garden. Doesn't it look rather fabulous?!
