Crisp solution!

Since it has been announced that foil lined crisp packets can be recycled now, we have installed two 'crisp packet bins' in the school. Here is the Eco Committee busy checking the amassed packets for crisps and making sure that no rogue sweet packets get sent away. So far we have collected over 1000 crisp packets-4 bin bag fulls and we are awaiting our first uplift!

The Eco Committee hard at work!

As well as crisp packets, we recycle batteries, stamps, pens, paper and garden waste. We are also going to recycle toothbrushes in the coming months!

What did the fox say?

P4/5 made these beautiful winter wonderland pictures featuring a woodland creature we have see often on our grassy pitch:the fox! Aren't their pictures fantastic-love the shadows cast across the snowy ground! Well done P4/5!

Best den yet!

So we built a den at Forest School today and this one had the design brief of being a shelter for one or two folk max overnight... look what we made. It is quite possibly our best woodland den YET!
Fits one adult. Note the laurel decoration-carefully selected and added by one of the builders.

Fits two small ones nicely

P6/7 D Maths

P6/7D took their maths outside for some measuring activities in the playground-last week they explored ways of measuring using non-standard units of measures and this week they used metre sticks to measure different features in the playground.

Recycling news!

We are able to collect empty crisp packets and send them away to be recycled into benches and fencing! Any brand of crisps will do whether it's an individual packet or a sharing bag! Our recycled recycling bins are located in the infant entrance, the upper school entrance there is one in the nursery too!
