Pocket Garden Winners

Congratulations to Maya, Nevaeh and Matthew who designed the winning entry "Sirens" in the national Pocket Garden Design Competition-therer were over 340 entries and they were one of 45 winning designs. Now we have to build and create the garden! The seeds have been sown in window sill propagators and the lettuce is sprouting already so we have made a good start! The rest of the P6 pupils in Miss Baxter's class are involved in creating the design and have spent an afternoon researching where we could get the best deals for the seeds and other items needed. Some have volunteered the services of family members to help with the construction!

Polycrub Preparation!

P6/7B came out this morning and howd, weeded and dug in the chicken manure pellets to the beds in the pilycrub before watering the soil. Once back in school, they looked at what can be sown in the coming weeks and a list has been started! Next time we will clean the polycarbonate inside and out (well the bits we can reach!) and oil the hinges etc. Here they are hard at work!
