We had budgeted in our CCAF application for funding for a wormery start up kit and our wriggly tiger worms have arrived and the Monday John Muir group set up the wormery and relased the new inhabitants into their new setting. Banana skins, egg shells and tea leaves have been added and there is a group of P6 pupils who are responsible for checking on our composting worms!
We can reduce our school food waste which by encouraging and educating our school community to use the wormery instead of binning their banana skins and bread crusts etc! The next step is to share the news of our wormery at assembly!
