Looking good! Last post of the term.

P5/6 helped to water the tunnel today and the crops are looking healthy and verdant!
P5/6 helped to water the plants in the tunnel today and the crops are looking healthy and verdant! The sweetcorn  and tomatoes are shooting up and the watermelon seedlings are beginning to grow. The class was intrigued by the difference in the broccoli and sweetcorn leaves.  One let’s water droplets sit on its leaf while water runs off broccoli instantly.

I’ve also added a lovely personal end of term gift.  It’s always touching to be given a card or a gift and this one  couldn’t be more perfect for me! 😃 My garden keeps me busy chasing slugs and snails away or pulling weeds out. Thank you Lewis!
Sunflowers, corn (grown from seed) and watermelons.

Corn and  broccoli looking good and tomatoes thriving in the background.
