We have been carrying out playground litter surveys, cracking conkers open, writing nature-inspired calligrams, den building, creating slideshows about the plastic problem our planet is facing, surveying the litter in the canal, presenting slideshows and making pie charts, pictograms, Venn diagrams and Carroll diagrams, bar charts of our work and that’s before I mention the information writing which has happened ! I have included P6/7B’s amazing climate change artwork too-beautiful but really thought provoking!
t’s been non stop and a fantastically productive term.
Well done to all the classes for their hard work and brilliant attitude! I can’t wait to continue working with you next term,

It's been all hands on deck this year as the unusually hot weather has meant one very dry poly tunnel! We would love to have a water butt but we are still blighted with unwelcome "visitors" at the weekends and evening who like to wreck anything movable left outside so for just now we are relying on people power to water the plants. Our family gardening group has worked hard and their efforts are paying off!
Have a look below: we have corn, courgettes, peppers, tomatoes, carrots, peas, beetroot, rainbow beetroot, broccoli and watermelon all thriving just now!

It’s been a busy week-Sports Day, Outdoor week for P7, Active Travel week and Day to day lessons too! It’s been lovely to see so much activity in our outdoor areas.
P5/6 and P6 were hunting tadpoles and caught back swimmers and dragonfly nymphs too and we saw fully grown dark flies along the canal.
The family gardening club has started to see their seedlings grow and there is a huge range of fruit and veg growing now-From broccoli to watermelons!
A busy week but a week to remember!
